apple surface tablet

In a candid remark, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook appeared not to be too impressed with the new Windows Surface RT tablet.  He remarked that the tablet did give a distinct feeling of being “a fairly compromised, confusing product”. Tim was addressing the Q4 2012 results conference when he was asked about the new tablet from rival Microsoft. Although he did mention that he has not used the product himself but he was merely reading the initial feeling from others who had a chance to play with it. He went on to say, “I suppose you could design a car that flies and floats, but I don’t think it would do all of those things very well.” Apple on the other hand, he mentioned, knew exactly what the consumers wanted and made the difficult choices to incorporate all of those. So he firmly believes that if consumers are going to make a decision, it is going to be in favor of the iPad. His remarks came at an interesting time when the Microsoft Surface tablet is about to make its debut on Friday.
