Surface Tablet Apps

The Next at Microsoft blog is an innovative way in which Microsoft communicates with its customers. While largely the blog vetoes and repeats what Microsoft has already let everybody known via its press releases, there are certain aspects and news which the author Steve Clayton prefers to highlight. Usually these are the ones that do not receive a lot of press coverage. An example could be the demonstration in China for Microsoft’s new voice recognition technology.

Earlier this week, Steve Clayton announced the launch of the official Next at Microsoft blog app on the Windows 8 store. Compatible with both Windows 8 and Windows RT this app will allow users to check all the current and past articles on the Next at Microsoft blog. Additionally users can now even check the stories when they are offline. There is also a built-in sharing option for the discerning readers looking to share their favorite stories with their friends on Twitter, Facebook and other places.

Steve also added that this is but the first version of the app and there are going to be more improvements in the future with support for live tiles, video and an option to search in the articles.
