Microsoft in france

Microsoft announced earlier that its Surface RT Tablet will be available at non-Microsoft retail outlets breaking several weeks of restricted sales. Following that report the Surface made its way to Best Buy and Staples in the US and also on the John Lewis stores in the UK. Australian customers too are likely to start getting their hands on the Surface at a retail store near them.

Reports have however surfaced (no pun intended) that FNAC in France has also started selling the Surface. It is available at a FNAC store for € 589. FNAC is like the same thing as Best Buy in USA. However not having visited one of their stores, we can only quote what we have learnt via our sources. Microsoft’s last minute attempt to shed their restricted sales agenda and push through the Surface in line with the holiday shopping drive may just see it salvage its drooping sales figure. For customers waiting for the Surface in these markets, this must be a wonderful opportunity.
