Microsoft Windows RT Jailbreak

After a jailbreak was discovered on the Windows RT of Microsoft, the software giant has reportedly applauded the people involved, according to a report from theverge.com. A spokesperson for Microsoft has reportedly applauded the ingenuity of the people who were behind the jailbreak, and the work they put in to document it. This comes as the company is discussing its usefulness.

The complexity in the processes that allow desktop applications to run on the Windows RT is indescribable. Microsoft recognizes the fact that an average user will not have the capability of using it to gain access into the system, obtain local administration rights, and use a debugger to make it work. Microsoft is not giving any assurance that the upcoming versions of the Windows RT will not have any vulnerability, although it aims to cover up the flaw in the system.

For the moment, the usefulness of the ability to use ARM-based desktop applications on Windows RT remains uncertain. However, the hole in the Windows RT may offer more home-brewed ARM Desktop applications. However, Microsoft has indicated that the release of a fix for the hole will likely become a constant struggle between the software giant and people who aim run applications that were not initially designed by for the Windows RT.
