Microsoft Surface Tablet

You may want to start filling in your calendar if you want to keep up with all the events coming up in the next few months. These events center and revolve around the Microsoft Surface Tablet Release Date of October 26 and involve not only the Microsoft Surface Tablet but also the companies releasing products complimenting the Surface Tablet, adopting the Windows 8 platform, and competing with it. Although these dates are tentative and subject to change due to leaks and corrective marketing strategies they should give the upcoming election a run for the money in terms of advertizing space.

Samsung kicked things off this week at the IFA (International Franchise Association) event in Berlin, with what was officially the first Windows 8 device – the Samsung Ativ Tab. Nokia is planning on demonstrating some of its Windows Phone 8 devices next week (September 5) and it is rumored they will announce AT&T as the lead carrier for the devices. In the second week of September, HTC is expected to come out of the closet with its Windows Phone 8 handset(s). Other handset device manufacturers will most likely follow suit around the same time-period.

In New York City on October 25, Microsoft’s big launch event will take place and at midnight, the Windows 8 Surface devices should be available. The official launch of Windows Phone 8 is slated for October 29 and will take place in either San Francisco or Los Angeles. Microsoft’s developer-focused Build 2012 conference will be held in Redmond from October 30 to November 2. Shortly after or during the event the Xbox Live dashboard update is expected.
