Dell Windows 8 Tablet

With Windows finally starting to show some activity with their inclination to keep the promised delivery date of 26th October for the Surface RT tablet, other manufacturers are also showing signs of some inclination to follow suit. Dell announced today their plans for the XPS-10 a Windows RT tablet with a 10.1 inch screen. The XPS-10 will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will have a display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. A front camera of 2 megapixels and a rear main camera of 5 megapixels will complement the tablet that will be launched with either 32 GB or 63 GB of internal storage. To be launched at the same pricing point as the Microsoft Surface RT tablet $499, orders for the tablet are now in with no definite shipping data yet.

Additionally it was released by Dell that its business end tablet powered by Windows 8, the Latitude 10 will be entering the market soon. The Windows 8 Dell tablet will be  released at a price point of $649. Later on, at a price point of $899, Dell is also going to release the Windows 8 avatar of the Inspiron 15z Ultrabook. The S2340T which is a 23” touch screen desktop monitor will be released at a price of $699. Final news of the press release by Dell seems to suggest that they will also have a wireless touchpad TP713 at a price point of $69.
