Surface rt tablet and Bing

The Surface RT tablet plays a part in the latest Bing marketing campaign that Microsoft announced for the holidays. The marketing campaign also snipes at the search results of Google as the Microsoft claimed that it was packed with results that companies paid for instead of an objective result from the search engine, a recent neowin.net report indicated.

The latest commercial was posted by Microsoft and will soon be seen in TV networks. As luck would have it, the commercial that featured the Microsoft Surface tablet was uploaded into the official YouTube channel of Bing. Google is the owner of YouTube.

The holiday-themed commercial shows a man telling a woman that he purchased a new pan that he can use in cooking chicken. He added that he used Google in searching for a great price for the pan. Then the woman takes out her Surface RT tablet and showed the man that companies paid for some of the shopping search results on Google.

Following this, the chicken on the pan that was purchased using the shopping results of Google went up in flames. The fire was put out by the woman using an extinguisher. The advertisement gives an impression that the main was symbolically and literally burned when he used Google Shopping. It remains uncertain if Google will also post a similar ad to counter this.

After the reports on the latest marketing campaign using the Microsoft Surface tablet came out, Google simply indicated that shoppers will be able to find what they want quickly using its search results. However it did not answer the claims of Microsoft directly.
