The TV advertising campaign of Microsoft for the Surface RT tablet, which came out around eleven days prior the device was launched, basically featured a lively team of skilled dancers showing off their talents. Although the advertisement was an attention-grabber, it did not highlight all the features of the Microsoft Surface tablet.
However, a new thirty-second advertisement was launched by Microsoft recently for the device. The ad was initially shown on the official YouTube channel for the Surface. The ad focuses on the tablet itself and has done away with the hype that was built up by the dancers in the previous advertisement.
The notable features of the device were shown in the latest advertisement such as the variety of colors offered by that the Touch Cover keyboard, the available ports, the integrated kickstand, and its advanced user-interface. The ad also shows the latest Ice Age movie being played on the Surface RT tablet through Xbox Video. At the end of the ad, the Office 2013 RT Student and Home that is built into the device is also mentioned.
However, it remains to be seen which of the two advertisements will be result to an increase in sales of the Microsoft Surface tablet. It’s a toss-up between the lively advertisement featuring dynamic dancers and the one that highlights the features of the device.
