Back in October 2012 Gigabyte launched a plan for their first Windows 8 tablet the S1082. At CES 2013 the company revealed a new Windows 8 tablet the S1185. As per Mobile Geek reports the new tablet will have a display of 11.6”, a magnetic keyboard together with mouse buttons (in PC mode) which Gigabyte is calling “Optical Finger Navigation” and one of Intel’s third generation core processor powering it. The tablet will have a camera on either side and come with the quintessential VGA and HDMI ports for plugging external devices. At this point Gigabyte has not revealed the pricing details or the estimated release date.

The S1082 tablet which was earlier announced by Gigabyte was more for commercial users while the latest S1185 is aimed more at the consumer section of the Diaspora. The S1082 comes in two hard drive modes; one SSD and one standard. It also comes with a 3G built-in antenna to cater to the needs of the traveler. The older S1082 currently on sale is available for a price of $560 depending on the size ad type of the hard drive.
